That's my echo. I have been quiet the past few weeks due to real life stresses I simply had no time for art at all let alone discussing it online. Perhaps many of you have had stressful or very busy holidays as well. I can see there has been some participation over the past few weeks so I am not going to shut the forums down as I originally planned to have this as a test run to see if anyone wanted to use it. Even if it's just a few of us who update every once in awhile, maybe it's still worth it. I think it is anyways, even if you can get one fresh pair of eyes on your work or have one new person see something they might not have seen before.
So, if you're still kicking around, what are your artistic goals for 2014?
Personally I am still discovering what it is I would like to do and since I am still among my previous stresses, it's been hard to figure it out. I have been really wanting to get back into photography but I lack both motivation and self confidence. Also subject matter. I have worked on the technique of shooting everything before and it's okay but I feel like if I want to treat it on a more artistic level then I should be thinking of my intention behind the photographs I create.
Other than I will be putting artisan crafts on hold for the next little bit. For me, I am a person who creates for fun & enjoyment and not so much for profit or entertainment of others. Unfortunately my passion for artisan crafts over the last few months of 2013 started to drop until it became a job and a chore and not something that I felt was truly apart of me. I am a bit finicky with my art.
